Why create a juice?
For the final week of National Nutrition Month our students learned about the popular health trend juicing and the health benefits it provides. As a part of Inspiration’s renowned educational program this week’s educational activity challenged teens to create healthy juices for themselves, fellow clients and staff.
The teens started the day by washing and preparing the fruits necessary for today’s juicing. They then started up the juicer and began juicing the fruits. What our teens had to offer were Apple Juice, Celery and Carrot Juice, as well as their invented Jazz it up Juice.
The Jazz it up juice
This kind of activity helps to reinforce what they have been taught on nutrition and fosters team work with their fellow classmates. Teens are also taught real life skills by learning how to prepare fresh and healthy meals or snacks for themselves. The teens then came together and created a brand new juice they called “Jazz it up juice!”
The motive behind this juice is to add some pep in your step and a mix to the typical juices by using a not so secret ingredient. After many testing, tastings, trial and errors the teens were able to perfect the Jazz it up juice which came back with rave reviews for those who tried it.
Try it out!
Recreate their Jazz it up juice and let us know how it turned out with the hashtag #jazzitupjuice
